Bill Summary Update for 2014 Session

HB 1 Sexual and Domestic Violence Subfund; funding of sexual and domestic violence prevention, etc. was voted to be carried over until 2015.

HB 235 Sex Offender Registry for “Johns” passed the Senate Finance Committee and moves to the Senate floor for its first reading.

HB 485 Abduction and prostitution offenses; administrative subpoena for electronic communication service passed the Senate and moves to the Governor’s desk for his signature to become law.

HB 486 Mandatory Reporting for Human Trafficking of Children was voted to be carried over until 2015.

HB 595 Mandatory Law Enforcement Training on Human Trafficking died in the House Appropriations committee.

HB 660 Asset Forfeiture for Human Trafficking with amendment passed the House and goes to the Governor for his signature.

HB 767, 803, & 1155 Asset Forfeiture for Human Trafficking were incorporated into HB 660.

HB 716 Human Trafficking; penalties was voted to be carried over until 2015.

HB 993 Mandatory Teacher Training on Human Trafficking died in the House Appropriations committee.

HB 994 Human Trafficking; offenses failed in the Senate Courts of Justice Committee.

SB 322 Commission on the Prevention of Human Trafficking was stricken at the request of the patron.

SB 373 Human Trafficking; penalties failed in the Criminal Subcommittee of House Courts of Justice.

SB 453 Human Trafficking; penalties was incorporated into SB 373.

SB 454 Sex Offender Registry for “Johns” passed the House and moves to the Governor for his signature.

SB 654 Model Policy for Law Enforcement on Human Trafficking passed the House and moves to the Governor’s desk for his signature to become law.
